Root Canals

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

We are trained to care for dental emergencies, including broken or knocked-out teeth, toothaches, objects stuck between teeth, bitten tongue or lip, and other trauma to the teeth, tongue, lips, and cheeks. Patients with emergencies are given priority.

Dr. Kate will do her best to see her patients with urgent needs during regular office hours. In addition, through Dental 911, patients can be seen in evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergency care.
